Amanda MacLeod

Inspired by the natural world, Amanda creates with and combines materials including paint, collage, encaustic, cyanotype and more. Her process begins with movement and meditation in order to create space for openness, presence and play as she explores connections between the materials and the feelings that she is communicating. Continually responding to external inspiration in nature and internal intuition, Amanda explores the mysterious and magical parts of life through artistic expression.
Biography
Amanda MacLeod is a mixed media artist based in Delta, BC. a self-taught artistic practice is driven by curiosity and wonder and is rooted in the value of well-being, a core principle from her education in Therapeutic Recreation. Amanda moved from a product based artistic practice of 12 years, to a more curiosity-based artistic expression when she started taking art classes in 2020. This introduction to various mediums opened up a whole new creative scope and led to group and solo exhibitions over the last four years in Delta, Vancouver and Sechelt, BC. Amanda is continually engaged in self-directed learning as her growth-mindset seeks new skills and opportunities to develop artistically, professionally and personally.
