The Art Department

Located at 1300 56 St, Tsawwassen, The Art Department is home to a growing roster of instructors teaching pottery, drawing, painting, sculpting, jewelry making and mixed media art, alongside a membership base that uses the studio for open studio time and classes throughout the week.
Beyond regular programming, The Art Department hosts kids camps, workshops with visiting artists, and private events including birthday parties and group bookings, creating a space where people can gather, create and connect.
For this event, The Art Department instructors and members will have artwork and pottery available for sale, along with a giveaway. Visitors are welcome to sit down and paint their own piece of pottery to take home.
A portion of proceeds from all sales, including paint-your-own pottery, goes to the Delta Hospital and Community Foundation, so every purchase helps support the local hospital. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day.
Biography
The Art Department is a pottery and art studio in Tsawwassen offering wheel throwing, handbuilding, painting, kids art classes, workshops, camps, paint-your-own pottery and private events. We opened our doors in 2025 with the goal of making pottery and art accessible to every skill level, from complete beginners to working artists looking to grow their craft.
