Biography
Sascha Westendorp is a mixed media artist whose work is defined by an ongoing exploration of doors as subjects in her photography and painting. Originally from Northern Germany, Sascha moved to Vancouver in 1998, where she has cultivated a diverse creative practice throughout her life. Encouraged by her parents, who instilled in her the belief that creativity knows no bounds, Sascha was given the freedom to explore her artistic potential from an early age.
Her formal artistic journey began with an apprenticeship in silkscreen printing in Munich, Germany, followed by studies in desktop publishing and graphic design. Throughout her career, photography has remained a constant passion, often integrated into her multidisciplinary work.
